Fourteen classic Bon Jovi hits (all remastered), two new singles, and a re-working of "Livin' on a Prayer" made up Bon Jovi's first Greatest Hits offering, Cross Road. The band had gone through a lot together since the days of "Runaway." Now they were ready to take stock of where they had been and see where they wanted to go next.

Creating the Greatest Hits Album

This greatest hits record, it’s an evolution, a mark in the band’s life. We’re still together. And the main thing is, we're still having fun.

And I know when I die, you'll be on my mind And I'll love you, always

The single 'Always,' which is doing so well right now thank goodness, really should be spotlighted on something like this...It gave it an opportunity to shine.

"Always" required a video that could hold its own against the track's epic sound. Enter director Marty Callner and four young actors on the precipice of stardom, all ready to bring one fiery script to life with Bon Jovi. It worked. In March 2024, the "Always" video passed one billion streams.

Hey, man, I'm alive I'm taking each day and night at a time I'm feeling like a Monday, but someday I'll be Saturday night

Named one of Bon Jovi's best songs by WMMR Radio, "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night" confronted tough themes with tenacity. Jon riffed during a live performance in Osaka in 2000, "Self, you gotta put on the gloves, jump in the ring, and go in there for one more fight."
